Meet Jen 

Hi, I'm Jen, the owner of J Strongwood Services. 

I've had an entrepreneurial spirit my whole life and am happy to have found this opportunity for my second career. I've always worked in social services, including private adoption, worker's compensation, youth residential treatment, and ten years in child protective court services. I have a BA in Sociology, and an MSW degree.

I started this business with insurance credentialing services in 2016 while running operations for a mental health clinic. My business grew quite quickly when in early 2018 I became familiar with SimplePractice. The normalization of telehealth care during the pandemic allowed many clinicians to start their own private practices, and me to work full-time in the business. 

I enjoy my ability to support clinicians who are on the front line of care, as I know the stressors of that work. My experience also allows me a calm approach when working with your therapy clients, while also making sure that you get paid. 

I work with my employee Karen. I've known her for over 40 years, and she has hospital billing experience. She and I regularly problem solve together, and enjoy the challenging work of making insurance pay our clients. 

A friend once called me "The Insurance Whisperer" and I've come to believe it is true.
